The FLEOA Foundation Scholastic Program

The FLEOA Foundation Scholastic Program is looking for eligible applicants. Listed below are the eligibility rules, requirements, and directions for the FLEOA Foundation Scholastic Program.

Who is Eligible? The 2019 Class of High School graduates, who are the children of current, retired or deceased members of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association.

How to Apply: High School graduates of the Class of 2019 are to submit the following items that must be RECEIVED by June 28, 2019:

  1. 1. A completed and typed scholastic application must be filed online. – Click here to download the application
  2. 2. A copy of your high school FINAL unofficial transcripts, with class ranking, SAT or other aptitude test scores.
  3. 3. Copies of letters that describe and verify your community service activity.
  4. 4. A copy of your acceptance letter from a college or university.

How Winners are Selected: The FLEOA Foundation Scholastic Committee will independently review and rank each application. Scholastic grants will be awarded in the order of the highest cumulative ranking.

Criteria Used for Selection: Scholastic ability - SAT/ACT scores and GPA; social character; community service, employment and extracurricular activities.

Special consideration will be given to those applicants who are the children of federal law enforcement officers who were killed or disabled in the line of duty. Hardships may be identified and may receive special consideration at the discretion of the Scholastic Committee.

Type of Awards: The scholastic program will be limited to a one-time grant of $500 or $1,000.

Submission of Scholastic Application: Applications must be submitted online at by no later than June 28, 2019. Notifications to all applicants will be sent by August 2, 2019.

The winners names, parent’s names, and agency will be published in the 1811 journal.
