The Scholastic Incentive Awards Program

The FLEOA Foundation Scholastic Awards Program is looking for eligible applicants. Listed below are the eligibility rules, requirements, and directions for the FLEOA Foundation Scholastic Awards.

Who is Eligible? Class of 2020 High School graduates, who are the children of current, retired or deceased members of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association may apply.

Deadline for Application: Online application packet must be RECEIVED by June 30, 2020

How to Apply: Applicants must upload the following items in the fields below and include the following -

  1. A completed and typed scholastic application.
  2. A copy of your high school FINAL transcripts, with class ranking, SAT/ACT or other aptitude test scores. NOTE: THE TRANSCRIPT MUST BE FINAL BUT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE OFFICIAL.
  3. Copies of letters that describe and verify your community service activity.
  4. A copy of your acceptance letter from a college or university.

How Winners are Selected: The FLEOA Foundation Scholastic Committee will independently review and rank each application. Scholastic grants will be awarded in the order of the highest cumulative ranking.

Criteria Used for Selection: Scholastic ability - SAT/ACT scores and GPA; social character; community service, employment and extracurricular activities.

Special consideration will be given to those applicants who are the children of federal law enforcement officers who were killed or disabled in the line of duty. Hardships may be identified and may receive special consideration at the discretion of the Scholastic Committee.

Type of Awards: The scholastic awards will be limited to a one-time grant of $500 or $1,000.

Notification of Awards: Notifications to all applicants will be sent by July 31, 2020.

The winners names, parent’s names, and agency will be published in the 1811 journal.
