Cosme attended the signing on behalf of FLEOA as one of ten law enforcement guests invited alongside the President and family members of those impacted by unprofessional law enforcement conduct:

"Law enforcement officers across our nation do a great job every day of fairly enforcing the law while protecting lives. FLEOA, alongside the law enforcement community, is committed to ensuring that the profession is enhanced with better training and better tactics so that they can that respect and trust is practiced in our justice system to keep all communities safe," said Cosme.

Cosme continued, "It is our goal that our nation has the best and most professional law enforcement officers in the world and that every American, regardless of who they are or where they live, feel that they have equal protections under the law and that the sacred trust placed in the law enforcement profession is not misplaced."

"We appreciate the President's leadership on law enforcement issues and the signing of this Executive Order. We support its intent, to bridge the divide between communities and law enforcement. We look forward to working collaboratively on ensuring law enforcement and our communities are safer and continuing to work with the Administration and members of Congress to make positive change that benefits all Americans,” Cosme concluded.
