Condolences Following Shooting in Parkland, FL

The Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association sends its heartfelt condolences and prayers to the families, students, educators, and first responders in Parkland, Florida.

"We send our prayers and condolences to the victims, educators, and first responders impacted by yesterday’s school shooting in Parkland, Florida,” said FLEOA National President Nathan R. Catura. "This was an appalling and cowardly act of domestic terrorism perpetrated against innocent students.”

"Our schools should be safe havens and any funds allocated toward defending our children are funds well-spent. We must make this a national priority.

"As is so often the case, it was law enforcement officers who were called upon in a moment of crisis to selflessly put their lives on the line in search of a swift end to the attack,” said Catura. "FLEOA applauds the response of the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, as well as agents from the ATF, FBI, and other first responders who were on scene within minutes and stabilized the situation.”
