FLEOA salutes Capitol Police Special Agents

The Federal Law Enforcement Officers Asssociation (FLEOA), which represents more than 26,000 federal agents and officers, including members of the U.S. Capitol Police, expressed outrage at today's attempted assassination of Members of Congress. FLEOA salutes Capitol Police Special Agents Krystal Griner and David Bailey, who, in the finest tradition of Law Enforcement, engaged and disabled the shooter, saving countless lives. FLEOA President Nate Catura stated, "Our thoughts and prayers go out to House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, Special Agents Griner and Bailey, Congressional Staff member Zach Barth, and Matt Mika who were wounded in the gunfire. When the unarmed innocent victims were trying to find cover, the Capitol Police Special Agents responded to the gunman, and even while wounded, they neutralized him and saved countless lives.” FLEOA offers our thanks and support to Chief Matthew Venderosa and the men and women of the U.S. Capitol Police.
