FLEOA Supports HR 4120

March 5, 2014

The Honorable John Boehner
Speaker
U.S. House of Representatives
H-232, U.S. Capitol
Washington, DC 20515

Dear Speaker Boehner:

The Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA) has the honor of representing over 26,000 federal law enforcement officers from all 65 federal law enforcement agencies as the only professional non‐partisan federal law enforcement association.

FLEOA strongly supports H.R. 4120, sponsored by Representative Hoyer and Representative Wolf, which would allow construction to proceed on the National Law Enforcement Officers Museum by extending authorization for the non‐profit National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF).

FLEOA's broad mission is to support all facets of federal law enforcement and does so through its legal services, the 501(c)(3) FLEOA Foundation and through partnerships with other organizations like the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Foundation (NLEOMF).

FLEOA is proud to serve as a representative Board Organization on the Executive Board of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund and supports the building of the NLEOMF Museum.

The National law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington D.C. recognizes the almost 20,000 local, state, and federal law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice and whose names are on its Memorial Walls. It is one of the few Memorials that we sadly continue to add names to each and every year.

A proper Museum would complement the Memorial by telling the law enforcement story and detailing the true cost of honor and valor.

FLEOA hopes this bill passes through the Congress quickly and is signed into law as a small tribute to the sacrifices depicted on the Memorial's Wall and for the future Museum that will explain the true "Price of Valor."
