Loss of Hero DUSM John Perry

FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS ASSOCIATION MOURNS LOSS OF HERO DUSM JOHN PERRY

Washington, DC – It is with profound sorrow that The Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA) announces the passing of hero Deputy U.S. Marshal John Perry. On March 8th, Deputy Perry was fatally wounded during the execution of a fugitive warrant. Team members Deputy Theodore Abegg and Officer Jeff Helbling also sustained injury, but both heroes are fortunately recovering from their wounds.

Deputy Perry, along with his team, exuded great courage and bravery as they pursued a homicidal irrational felon. In making the ultimate sacrifice, Deputy Perry helped make our country safer by ensuring a murderous psychopath will never hurt anyone again.

FLEOA intends to honor the memory of hero Deputy U.S. Marshal John Perry during the annual Candlelight Vigil at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial on May 13th, 2011. FLEOA extends its heartfelt prayers and condolences to hero Deputy Perry’s family.
