Rep. Patrick Meehan Fights Against Cuts

Former US Attorney Rep. Patrick Meehan (PA-7th) weighed in on HR 3029, a hiring freeze via attrition bill that has moved through the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

Rep Meehan weighed in after meeting with FLEOA on 10/26/11.

Rep Meehan got support from Chairman Darrell Issa (CA-49th), Rep Stephen Lynch (MA-9th) and Rep. Elijah Cummings (MD-7th) agreeing to include language in the bill exempting LEOs from the downsizing before the bill goes to the floor for a full House vote.

FLEOA thanks Rep Patrick Meehan for his leadership on this and other federal law enforcement issues.

FLEOA would also like to thank House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa, Rep Stephen Lynch and Rep Elijah Cummings for their support as well.
