Decision Includes Cancer Coverage for 9/11 Heroes

FLEOA COMMENDS COMMITTEE'S DECISION TO INCLUDE CANCER COVERAGE FOR 9/11 HEROES

Washington, DC - Today, the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association praised the unanimous decision of the Scientific/Technical Advisory Committee to recommend cancer case coverage under the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act. The committee was tasked with evaluating medical illnesses that may have a direct nexus to our heroes' exposure to the toxins at Ground "Hero" on September 11th, 2001.

"We are encouraged by the STAC committee's decision and we hope we finally get the long overdue treatment and benefits for our heroes who fell victim to the hazardous toxins on 9/11," stated FLEOA president Jon Adler.

FLEOA praised the sustained efforts and leadership of Representatives Maloney, King and the New York delegation.
