The Honorable Patrick J. Leahy
Ranking Member, Judiciary Committee
United States Senate
Dirksen Bldg, Room 152
Washington, DC 20510

Dear Chairman Grassley and Ranking Member Leahy:

On behalf of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA), I strongly endorse S. 2781, the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers Reform and Improvement Act of 2016, introduced by Senator David Perdue. It is critically important that our training "Centers of Excellence" receive the funding and resources necessary to ensure the continuity of optimal training for law enforcement. The four FLETC locations collectively provide training to more law enforcement officers than any other academy in the world. This bill will ensure that both new and seasoned law enforcement officers will have consistent access to the superior training that is needed.
