Support for H.R. 4502

May 5, 2014

The Honorable Blaine Luetkemeyer
U.S. House of Representatives
2440 Rayburn House Office Building
Washington, D.C. 20515

Dear Representative Luetkemeyer:

I am writing on behalf of the more than 26,000 members of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA) to advise you of our strong support for H.R. 4502, the "Stop Meth Labs and Enhance Patient Access Act of 2014.”

This legislation is introduced to address and recognize that new technology exists which prevents the extraction of pseudoephedrine from over the counter pharmaceutical products. Due to the recent advances in technology, these products can now safely be sold and those seeking to manufacture methamphetamine cannot successfully utilize these products to assist them.

On behalf of FLEOA’s members, thank you for your attention to our concerns. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any concerns or if we can provide you with any additional information or assistance.

Respectfully,

Frank Terreri
National Vice President for Legislative Affairs
