Dear Chairwoman Boxer and Ranking Member Vitter:

I am writing on behalf of the more than 26,000 members of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA) to advise you of our support of S. 1914, the ‘Eliot Ness ATF Building Designation Act’. This act will designate the Federal building housing the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Headquarters located at 99 New York Avenue NE.,Washington, DC, as the ‘Eliot Ness ATF Building’.

This legislation, if enacted into law, would commemorate Eliot Ness who joined the Bureau of Prohibition in 1927, assembling a team of Prohibition enforcement personnel known as "The
Untouchables" to combat the activities of gangster Al Capone.

On behalf of the membership of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association, we urge you to move this bill forward expeditiously. S. 1914 would properly show the appreciation on behalf of American people to those who put their life on line on a daily basis to ensure our safety. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require any additional information or assistance.
