Fleoa Weighs In On Locality Pay Rates

December 17, 2013

The Honorable Katherine Archuleta
Director
U.S. Office of Personnel Management
1900 E Street NW
Washington, DC 20415

Dear Director Archuleta:

On behalf of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA), which represents 26,000 members from 65 federal agencies, I am writing you regarding the President’s Pay Agents’ plan to implement the creation of twelve new locality pay districts. The implementation of these locality pay districts would benefit thousands of our members.

FLEOA is concerned that the implementation of these districts may be delayed. It is our understanding that three steps need to be completed prior to implementation: verifying the percentages, outlining the areas covered and then publishing it for review in the Federal Register.

FLEOA respectfully requests a status update on the newly proposed pay districts.

The Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association appreciates your time and effort regarding the new locality pay district plan. Please do not hesitate to contact me for further discussion on this important issue.

Respectfully,

Frank Terreri

National Vice President for Legislative Affairs
