The FLEOA Foundation was established to
- financially assist surviving family members of federal law enforcement members killed in the line of duty; financially assist federal law enforcement members who have become disabled;
- financially assist federal law enforcement employees and their families in "select" instances (severe trauma or financial loss where no other source of assistance is available);
- provide financial assistance in the form of scholarships to students pursuing a career in the law enforcement field;
- and provide selective grants to charitable organizations.
The FLEOA Foundation, and its volunteers, directors and officers are proud of their mission accomplishments during the past fifteen years. The FLEOA Foundation has provided immediate financial assistance to members in need, and nationwide law enforcement community education and services.
The FLEOA Foundation has exceeded its program goals, making sure that those critical funds are targeted and spent wisely.
The FLEOA Foundation has maintained a 10% administrative budget during the last 15 years. The FLEOA Foundation is 100% volunteers and has no paid staff.
Mission Program and Initiatives
1. Financial assistance to the surviving family of a Federal Law Enforcement Officer Association member who died in the line of duty or catastrophic event.
2. Financial assistance to a Federal Law Enforcement Officer Association member who is injured, sick or disabled, due to line of duty or catastrophic event.

Creation of a scholarship fund to assist the students of Federal Law Enforcement Officer Association members in pursuing an education in the fields of criminal justice based on financial need and scholastic achievement.4. Grants to Law Enforcement related charitable organizations that have been identified by the FLEOA Foundation or the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association that have a similar mission and a record of responsible use of donations.
5. Grants may also be made as a result of direct solicitation from Federal Law Enforcement employees and their families, local law enforcement officers and others where no other source of assistance available.

The FLEOA Foundation scholarship program is currently limited to 40 grants of $1,000, each awarded to high school graduates. A scholarship committee consisting of two members of the Board of Directors and one or more non-board members will independently review and rank each application. Scholarships will be awarded in the order of the highest cumulative ranking. As the Foundation grows, we hope to expand the number and the amount of awards. Your participation and support of this worthwhile program is encouraged and greatly appreciated.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association Foundation is an IRS Sec. 501(c) (3) non-profit corporation established on September 14, 1993. The purpose of the FLEOA Foundation is to use any contributions made to it or earnings generated by the FLEOA Foundation to contribute generally to the public welfare for the alleviation of human suffering and the advancement of education.
