Art Gordon is currently the Assistant Federal Security Director for Law Enforcement with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at BWI Airport in Maryland. Prior to accepting his current position with TSA, Mr. Gordon served in various law enforcement positions with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) for over twenty-nine years. Mr. Gordon was a special agent for fifteen years conducting criminal investigations in the field. He served two years as a Headquarters Project Officer, two years as an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force Coordinator, and ten years as a Supervisory Special Agent supervising a multi-agency law enforcement task force. During his tenure at ATF, Mr. Gordon developed and wrote all of the firearms training and qualification programs for over 2,000 ATF special agents, which have been utilized by ATF for the past twelve years. Mr. Gordon has been an active FLEOA member since 1982. He has served on the Legislative Committee, as the Baltimore Chapter President, the ATF Agency President, and the National Executive Vice President. Mr. Gordon became the FLEOA National President in June of 2004. During his tenure with FLEOA Mr. Gordon has testified before Congress regarding issues of importance to federal law enforcement officers. Mr. Gordon possesses a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice, and a Master of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice and Forensic Science from George Washington University. |
